The package pairs completed upgrades with fresh groundwork across key services under the Centre’s Northeast focus.

Overview

  • During ceremonies in Kohima and Tuophema, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated works worth over Rs 202 crore and laid foundation stones for new initiatives of about Rs 443 crore, totaling Rs 646.39 crore.
  • Completed projects include a Rs 24.46-crore upgrade of the 132 kV substation at Nagarjan in Dimapur, a Rs 20-crore in-service teachers’ training and examination centre, ICT infrastructure in 190 schools costing Rs 18.95 crore, and road upgrades such as the Chendang Saddle–Noklak stretch and the AT Road from Tsusangra to Impur Junction.
  • New works launched cover health, sports, innovation, power and roads, with examples including a multispeciality hospital at Chumoukedima (Rs 58.72 crore), a 50-bed hospital at Peren district headquarters (Rs 44.65 crore), and connectivity upgrades like the Thizama–Chiethu Airport Road and the Khonomo–NH‑29 link via the Dzudza River.
