Science + Literature Awards Announce Winners
Three authors recognized for works that deepen understanding of science and technology.
- The National Book Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation have announced the winners of this year's Science + Literature awards, each receiving $10,000.
- The winners are poet Arthur Sze for 'The Glass Constellation', Novuyo Rosa Tshuma for the novel 'Digging Stars', and Brad Fox for the nonfiction 'The Bathysphere Book: Effects of the Luminous Ocean Depths'.
- The awards recognize works that deepen readers' understanding of science and technology and highlight diversity in modern science and technology writing.
- The Science + Literature awards were established in 2022 through a three-year, $525,000 grant from the Sloan foundation, which is now in its final year.
- The Sloan foundation board is expected to vote in March on whether to approve funding for another three years.
