Overview
- M. C.I. Foods initiated a voluntary Class 1 recall of about 91,585 pounds of ready-to-eat breakfast burritos and wraps due to potential Listeria monocytogenes in the egg component.
- The recalled items were produced from Sept. 17 to Oct. 14, 2025, and were distributed to foodservice institutions nationwide, including USDA National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
- Affected products include select El Más Fino, Los Cabos, and Midamar items that bear establishment numbers EST. 1162A or P-5890A inside the USDA mark of inspection.
- The company notified FSIS after routine testing of ingredients from external suppliers detected a positive result in scrambled eggs used in the products.
- FSIS reports no confirmed illnesses to date and is conducting recall-effectiveness checks while warning that product may remain in refrigerators or freezers at institutions.
