Overview

• The tunnel will close fully from Friday 22:00 until Monday 05:00 to allow engineers to install new IT and control systems.
• Both directions between the Schnelsen interchange and the Nordwest junction on the A7 will be affected.
• Drivers heading north are advised to detour via Horster Dreieck onto the A1, then follow the A21 and B205, with southbound traffic following the reverse route.
• All IT components first installed in 2017 will be upgraded to meet current safety and availability standards.
• A secondary night closure is set for August 16 at 22:00 to August 17 at 10:00 to dismantle the old systems and finalize the overhaul.
