Schlage Introduces Sense Pro Smart Lock with Hands-Free Ultra Wideband Technology

The new Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt offers Matter-over-Thread support and keyless entry, while the Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt expands Schlage's smart lock lineup.

  • Schlage unveiled the Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt, its first smart lock to use Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology for hands-free unlocking, at CES 2025.
  • The Sense Pro uses UWB to calculate speed, trajectory, and motion, unlocking the door automatically as users approach with a paired device.
  • It is the company’s first lock to support Matter-over-Thread, enabling compatibility with smart home ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa.
  • Schlage also announced the Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt, a more affordable option with built-in WiFi, push-button keypad, and support for up to 250 access codes via the Schlage Home app.
  • Both locks are expected to launch later in 2025, with the Arrive model set for a late spring release, though specific dates and pricing are yet to be confirmed.
