Overview

  • Organizers released the initial names for the Dec. 4–7 event at Albany in the Bahamas, with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlining as he pursues a third consecutive title.
  • Host Tiger Woods was not among those announced Tuesday, and three sponsor exemptions remain to be awarded.
  • Six of the world’s top 10 are committed, including Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, J.J. Spaun, Robert MacIntyre and Harris English.
  • The invite-only field is capped at 20 players, and the tournament awards Official World Golf Ranking points but no FedEx Cup points or official prize money.
  • Woods is recovering from back surgery and a March ruptured left Achilles, and he is slated to play for Jupiter Links in TGL Season 2 with a first match on January 13.
