Overview

  • The PGA Tour announced the player-voted honors on Monday, with eligible members casting ballots Dec. 4–12 via the new PGA Tour Central platform.
  • Scheffler’s six-win campaign included the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and The Open at Royal Portrush, giving him four career majors.
  • He matched a Tiger Woods benchmark by winning the award four years in a row and led the Tour in overall scoring average (68.131) and in every round category.
  • Scheffler posted 17 top-10s in 20 starts with no missed cuts, led multiple strokes-gained metrics and remains one U.S. Open short of the career Grand Slam.
  • Potgieter, 21, won the Rocket Classic in a three-man playoff, led the Tour in driving distance at 325 yards, was the only rookie to reach the FedExCup Playoffs and became the third South African to claim the honor.
