Overview

  • Thane Municipal Corporation will suspend water in several city sectors from 9 AM to 9 PM on June 19, affecting areas such as Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Pawar Nagar and Kasarvadavali.
  • Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has scheduled an 11-hour shutdown from 2 PM on June 19 to 1 AM on June 20 in K-West Ward, cutting supply in Vile Parle (West), Andheri (West) and neighboring gaothans.
  • The maintenance work targets a 1,350 mm flow control valve on the Bandra pipeline and a 900 mm butterfly valve on the Versova pipeline to enhance long-term service reliability.
  • To compensate for low storage levels, BMC began drawing on reserve lake water on June 16 from sources including Upper Vaitarna, Modak Sagar and Tansa.
  • Authorities warn residents to store sufficient water before the shutdown and note that pressure may remain low for up to two days after repairs.
