Overview

• Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the rider as 24-year-old Rane Apyter of Schaumburg.
• Buffalo Grove fire officials said the motorcycle and a sedan collided around 5:30 p.m. Thursday near Arlington Heights Road and Plum Grove Circle.
• Responders transported Apyter to Endeavor Northwest Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
• The sedan driver was uninjured and is fully cooperating with Buffalo Grove police investigators.
• A stretch of Arlington Heights Road was closed for about four hours and no citations or charges have been issued to date.
