- Scarborough Magistrates Court granted the order on Friday, setting a five-year term that runs until 30 October 2030.
- Terms bar Robert Viv Chinchen from entering 44 specified properties without written permission and from possessing any phone not registered with North Yorkshire Police.
- He is prohibited from using threats, intimidation or coercion to gain access or control and from entering an exclusion zone covering Barrowcliff, Northstead and Woodlands in Scarborough.
- Police say the case is the first STRO reported in North Yorkshire, following an investigation that began in August 2024 with an interim order in place since July.
- Evidence was submitted by Horizons, Social Services, Beyond Housing, IDAS and North Yorkshire Council, and breaching the order is a criminal offence punishable by up to five years in prison.
