- Banco BTG Pactual Perú received authorization from the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP via Resolution N.° 02364-2026 on Tuesday, allowing the new bank to start operating under SBS supervision.
- The company reported a US$100 million initial capital injection and said the bank will be a near‑100% subsidiary of BTG Pactual Chile.
- BTG Pactual Perú said it will focus on corporate banking, treasury and investment banking for large firms and institutional clients.
- The bank told reporters it will seek a derivatives license in the coming weeks and aims to have its derivatives and treasury platform available in January, with operations expected to begin before year‑end.
