- SBI, which opened online applications Tuesday, is recruiting 7,150 apprentices across states with registration open through June 8 on the bank’s careers portal, with exam dates to be announced.
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and be 20 to 28 years old, with age relaxations for reserved categories under government rules.
- Selection begins with a 60-minute online test of 100 questions with one-fourth negative marking, offered in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages except for General English, and then moves to a local language test, document checks and a medical exam.
- The application fee is ₹300 for General, OBC and EWS applicants, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempt.
- Apprentices train for one year under the Apprentices Act with a ₹15,000 monthly stipend, and the role does not convert to a permanent SBI job.
