Overview

  • Employers and the NGG agreed to a wage increase for the next two years described as significantly above five percent.
  • NGG detailed raises ranging from 5.9% to an effective 7.7%, with the higher figure driven by a working‑time cut that lifts hourly pay.
  • In Radeberger Group breweries, base pay rises by a total of 6.3% in stages through 2026, and weekly hours fall from 38.5 to 38.0 starting January 2026.
  • At Wernesgrüner (Carlsberg Deutschland) and Köstritzer (Bitburger Gruppe), wages increase in stages by 5.9%, and apprentice pay also goes up.
  • The settlement follows more than 1,300 strike hours that NGG says halted nearly 50 million bottles, while employers called the deal the limit of affordability and noted only about 6% of 131 regional breweries are bound by such contracts.
