Saxony’s Video Consultations Rebound as More Clinicians Gain Approval

The regional physicians' association reports growing integration of video care despite investment and training hurdles.

  • The number of physicians and psychotherapists authorized to conduct video visits rose to 3,096 by the end of August 2025 from about 3,058 at the end of 2024.
  • Among those authorized are 694 general practitioners and 1,278 psychotherapists.
  • Use is most common among general practitioners, internists and psychotherapists, with urologists using it the least.
