Overview
- Mittelsachsen reports 8,000 tonnes of road salt in stock and a combined fleet of more than 60 vehicles for the 2025/2026 season.
- Across depots in Brand-Erbisdorf, Mühlau, Freiberg, Hainichen, Rochlitz and Döbeln, 28 county-owned vehicles are supplemented by nearly 40 from regional contractors, including eight tractors.
- Department head Claudia Landgraf says firms have been bound by contract to support operations, noting the task cannot be fulfilled without these partners.
- The Bautzen county road service has about 6,000 tonnes of salt on site with 1,500 tonnes scheduled as resupply and 28 clearing and spreading vehicles for roughly 1,600 kilometers of classified roads.
