Overview

• On June 27, NGG initiated warning strikes at Freiberger Brauhaus, Radeberger Brauerei in Dresden, Sternburg Brauerei in Leipzig and Krostitzer Brauerei to pressure for stalled wage talks.
• The union is demanding a 7% pay raise, at least €300 extra for employees and targeted increases for trainees and logistics staff after the employer presented no offer.
• NGG accused Radeberger Gruppe, part of the Oetker Gruppe, of blocking tariff progress nationwide and dragging out negotiations.
• Night and early shift workers fully participated in the walkouts, bringing production to a halt and risking supply gaps this summer.
• With the next negotiation set for August 14, the union warns that more strike actions are likely if no progress is made.
