Overview
- Since 2021, the Landtag has issued 29 formal reprimands (Ordnungsrufe) through the end of September, up from 18 in 2016–2021.
- Of the 29 reprimands this term, 24 went to AfD deputies, three to the Greens, and one each to the CDU and the Left Party.
- In the legislative period before the AfD entered the parliament, no reprimands were recorded.
- AfD co-leader Oliver Kirchner alleges biased enforcement by the Landtag’s vice-presidents, calling the reprimands arbitrary.
- Current rules allow exclusion after three reprimands in one sitting or a gross breach, but no monetary fines exist in Saxony-Anhalt and any change before the September 2026 election remains uncertain.
