Savannah Bananas Launch Six-Team Banana Ball League and 75-Stadium 2026 Tour

Fans must enter an official lottery by Oct. 31 for ticket access as organizers target crowds topping 3 million next year.

Overview

  • The inaugural Banana Ball Championship League features a preseason starting Feb. 26 in Tallahassee, a 50-game regular season from April to September, playoffs in early October, and the Banana Bowl on Oct. 10, 2026.
  • Two new clubs join the circuit: the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns, the latter honoring a Negro Leagues namesake with Errick Fox as skipper and Ryan Howard as a primetime coach, and first home dates May 15–16 at Victory Field.
  • The 2026 slate spans MLB and major football venues, including Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field and Comerica Park, plus Kyle Field and Neyland Stadium, with a Disney World stop May 29–30 at ESPN Wide World of Sports (Coconuts vs. Party Animals).
  • Tickets are distributed only via the lottery closing Oct. 31, with prices starting around $35 for winners, and the league cautions fans about fraudulent or overpriced resale listings.
  • Banana Ball’s fan-forward rules include a two-hour game cap, innings scored as points, no bunting or walks, the option to steal first, and a foul ball caught by a spectator counting as an out.
