Saudi Delegation Opens Investment Drive in Pakistan Following Defence Pact

Prince Mansour’s team is receiving SIFC-led briefings and will hold meetings in Karachi and Lahore to develop proposals across energy, minerals, agriculture and real estate.

  • Pakistan hosted the SaudiPakistan Joint Business Council in Islamabad, where SIFC and the Commerce Ministry outlined regulatory reforms and priority-sector opportunities.
  • Delegates will meet provincial leaders and business groups in Karachi and Lahore to explore joint ventures and public–private partnerships.
  • Prince Mansour assured that Saudi investors will be facilitated, noting keen interest in agriculture, mining, energy, real estate and food-security related projects.
  • Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged a pivot from the new defence pact to concrete trade, investment and R&D cooperation, praising Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s economic vision.
  • Gohar Ejaz and Prince Mansour highlighted the council’s institutional setup, with Fawad Ahmed Mukhtar chairing the Pakistani side, as the government also moved to ease PML‑NPPP tensions and, with Malaysia, called for a Gaza ceasefire.
