Saudi Arabia's Film AlUla Expands with New Music Recording Studio

The addition of a state-of-the-art music recording studio aims to bolster Saudi Arabia's position as a full-service creative hub.

Film AlUla, located in northwest Saudi Arabia, will open a music recording studio in June 2024, complementing its existing film production facilities.
The new studio will feature a control room, two soundproof booths, and is designed for a wide range of musical activities, from individual artists to orchestral work.
Saudi Arabia's thriving music scene includes major concerts and festivals, with AlUla hosting events at the Maraya concert hall and the annual Azimuth festival.
The expansion is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to develop the creative industries, including film and music, as sustainable sectors.
Film AlUla's executive director, Charlene Deleon-Jones, highlights the studio as a natural next step in becoming a one-stop destination for creatives.
