Saudi Arabia to Host Next Year's FIFA Club World Cup

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has been selected to host the 2022 Club World Cup - featuring some of the world's top football clubs.
Local club Al-Ittihad will participate along with six other continental champions, including English Premier League champions Manchester City.
Matches will be played in two stadiums, including the 62,000-seat King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.
The tournament comes as Saudi Arabia pushes to host major sporting events like the 2030 World Cup.
The 2023 edition will be the last in the tournament's current format before expanding to 32 teams in 2025.
