Saudi Arabia Launches One-Year Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa

Nusuk will centrally manage visa-linked service bookings for each trip as part of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 push to standardize pilgrim services.

Overview

  • Saudi authorities announced Monday a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa that is valid for 365 days and allows multiple visits with a combined stay cap of up to 90 days.
  • Every entry requires pilgrims to buy an approved service package on the Nusuk platform and obtain an Umrah permit before travel, and purchased packages cannot exceed the visa's remaining days.
  • The visa automatically deactivates on departure and can only be reactivated after meeting regulatory requirements, and it cannot be used during the annual Hajj season.
  • Officials say a phased rollout of tighter operational rules will begin from Rabi al-Awwal for selected origin countries and will include confirmed hotel bookings, transport vouchers, a reported 20‑SAR nightly food voucher and integration of restaurants with Nusuk, though some details remain developing.
  • The move is framed under Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Programme to boost religious tourism, centralize bookings, raise service standards and harden enforcement of noncompliant providers through agency sponsorship and fines.
