Overview
- The second national action in a month began on Nov. 11 with coordinated protests and blockades, including heavy traffic disruptions on Mexico City’s Paseo de la Reforma.
- SAT said most of its 160 offices and service modules remain in normal operation despite the labor action.
- The tax authority confirmed three temporary closures: Distrito Federal 3 in Mexico City (Viaducto Río de la Piedad 507), Querétaro 1 (Ignacio Allende 8) and Guadalajara Sur (Lázaro Cárdenas 2305).
- To reduce service disruption, SAT activated a mobile office, advised taxpayers to use alternative locations, and directed inquiries to 55 627 22 728 and chat.sat.gob.mx, with scheduled appointments honored at other offices.
- COTRA HOD demands include salary increases and retroactive pay, overtime compensation, restoration of separation and major medical insurance removed in 2018, better working conditions and recognition of the organization; local actions included a peaceful takeover of the Querétaro office by dozens of workers.
