- Sassa has created a fourth payment date on Tuesday 7 October to ensure those under review receive funds once issues are resolved.
- Beneficiaries are urged not to pay anyone for services, with scams to be reported to Sassa’s toll‑free line 0800 60 10 11 or the National Anti‑Corruption Hotline 0800 701 701.
- Verification is being tightened through mandatory biometric enrolment for new applicants or when changing payment details, updated 2025 means and asset thresholds, and repayment requirements if reviews find income above limits.
