Saskatchewan Tractor Collision Leads to Fatality and Train Derailment

A tractor-train collision near Gerald, Saskatchewan, resulted in the death of a local man and the derailment of 20 train cars.

The accident occurred at a rail crossing north of Gerald, a village located 250 kilometers east of Regina.
The deceased was a man from Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, who was driving the tractor involved in the collision.
Canadian National Railway reported no hazardous spills, only dried and material goods were affected.
Train employees were taken to the hospital for precautionary examinations but suffered no serious injuries.
Range Road 1322 is closed for investigation by a collision reconstruction team until Thursday morning.
