Overview

  • The Saskatchewan Health Authority declared parts of the former Richmound school unfit for human habitation and ordered anyone inside to leave.
  • The order applies to the building only, excludes trailers on the site, carries fines up to $75,000 for a first offence, and remains until deficiencies are corrected.
  • RCMP executed a search warrant on Sept. 3 after a firearm report, arresting 16 adults and seizing 13 imitation semi-automatic handguns, ammunition and electronic devices.
  • All were initially released, then Romana Didulo and property owner Ricky Manz were rearrested for an alleged no-contact breach, with both charged for failure to comply and accused of earlier intimidation of a justice participant.
  • A group spokesperson said members left peacefully and relocated, while investigators continue analyzing evidence and RCMP said at least three additional people are expected to be charged.
