• The 31st Sarajevo Film Festival, running August 15–22, 2025, will bestow its Honorary Heart of Sarajevo on the 50-year-old director in recognition of his cinematic achievements.
• The festival’s “Tribute To” program will showcase a career-spanning retrospective of Sorrentino’s visually sumptuous and intellectually probing films.
• Sorrentino is set to host a masterclass in Sarajevo where he will discuss his creative process and reflections on contemporary art.
• Since his 2001 debut One Man Up, he has earned international accolades, notably winning an Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA for The Great Beauty.
• Festival director Jovan Marjanović praised Sorrentino’s ability to marry personal storytelling with universal themes to create a lasting global impact.
