Gellar visited the set during Thanksgiving while her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., reprised his role from the original 1997 film, though Gellar's character will not return as she died in the first movie.
The reboot, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, will feature a new cast including Camila Mendes, Madelyn Cline, Jonah Hauer-King, and others, with Jennifer Love Hewitt in discussions to reprise her role.
