Sarah Jessica Parker Joins 2025 Booker Prize Judging Panel

The actor and literary advocate will read over 150 novels alongside a panel of acclaimed authors and critics to select the year’s best English-language fiction.

Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her acting career and literary advocacy, has been appointed as a judge for the 2025 Booker Prize, one of fiction’s most prestigious awards.
The panel includes Booker Prize-winning author Roddy Doyle as chair, along with Booker-longlisted writers Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀ and Kiley Reid, critic Chris Power, and Parker.
Parker, who launched her publishing imprint SJP Lit in 2023, has a history of promoting contemporary fiction and curating book recommendations on social media.
The judges will evaluate approximately 150 novels over seven months, with the longlist announced in July, the shortlist in September, and the winner in November 2025.
The Booker Prize, which awards £50,000 to its winner, is open to English-language novels published in the UK or Ireland within a specified timeframe.
