Overview

• The Great Northern Marathon Challenge runs November 10–14 from Kielder Forest to Pudsey, Leeds, covering 135 miles on foot across Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
• Cox will carry a Pudsey Bear backpack and complete the route by walking or jogging only with no bikes or vehicles.
• Radio 2 presenters will check in with her live during regular shows, sharing messages from listeners and guests throughout the five-day effort.
• A BBC TV crew will film the journey for an exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary, with video highlights posted on Radio 2’s social channels.
• Listeners are invited to take on their own sponsored walks or runs in support of Children in Need, with sign-ups available at bbc.co.uk/Pudsey.
