Overview
- At its SAP Connect keynote in Las Vegas, SAP presented Joule Work and Joule Studio as an integrated agent platform that lets users ask questions, form tasks, and build agents that run business processes inside SAP applications.
- SAP says Joule is already used across the company’s 110,000 employees and that more than 200 agents and 20 domain assistants are generally available with a target of over 400 agents by year-end.
- SAP reported productivity gains above 20% in central functions such as HR, finance, and procurement and said Joule’s agents operate inside deterministic application workflows to produce a single auditable result.
- SAP announced the acquisition of TechWolf to import a context graph of work and skills into Joule so agents can ground queries in task-level work data to support skills-based hiring, workforce planning, and role redesign.
- To manage risk and scale adoption, SAP described an AI Agent Hub, an SAP-managed governance stack and an ISO/IEC 42001-certified architecture that inventories agents, supports configurable human review levels, and preserves audit trails.
