Overview
- Seven branches will shut between July 28 and July 31 across Hampshire, West Yorkshire, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Herefordshire, Cambridgeshire and Cleveland
- The closures form part of a March plan to reduce 95 UK sites this year in response to growing online and mobile banking use
- Eighteen branches will adopt a counter-free layout and 36 will move to reduced opening hours to reallocate in-person resources
- Weekly community banker visits will be introduced in libraries and halls alongside 290 remaining full-service branches and five Work Cafés
- Further branch closures are scheduled for August in Blyth, Canvey Island and Brixton as Santander continues its phased network consolidation
