Santa Fe’s Fourth Auction of Seized Assets Nets ARS 1.24 Billion

Officials cast the program as a crime‑fighting tool that converts seized assets into aid for victims and social investment.

Overview

  • The Sept. 18 remate at Estación Belgrano drew 3,910 registered participants from all 24 jurisdictions of Argentina.
  • Organizers sold 157 lots spanning vehicles, real estate, jewelry, cellphones, construction materials and, for the first time locally, household appliances.
  • Notable results included a property in Funes for ARS 90 million, a 2023 Toyota SW4 for ARS 60 million, a jewelry lot for ARS 19.5 million, and a lowest-priced cellphone at ARS 110,000.
  • The ARS 1,238,960,000 raised will fund victim compensation, social policies and the operation of the Aprad agency.
  • Combined with three prior auctions that brought in ARS 451M, ARS 700M and ARS 1,200M, the total now tops ARS 3.5 billion, with the next auction expected in Rosario in early 2026 and a goal of two to three events per year.
