Fully funded by Santa Fe, the renovation will upgrade the airport’s landing systems to Category III to enable larger jets to operate in dense fog.

Overview

  • The province launched a public call for direct contracting on August 8 with bids accepted through August 18 after the federal tender was canceled.
  • A legal evaluation of submissions is scheduled for August 25 followed by final adjudication on August 28 and work commencement on September 1.
  • Rosario Airport’s runway will close from September 20 for about 90 days and is slated to reopen on December 18 with modernized pavement and lighting.
