Santa Fe Finalizes Preparations for Suramericanos as Climbing Debuts in Senior Program

Organizers are securing competition standards through final venue work, homologated climbing installations and operational tests.

Overview

  • The XIII Juegos Suramericanos will run from September 12 to 26 across Santa Fe, Rosario and Rafaela with more than 4,000 athletes from 15 countries competing in 43 sports and 60 disciplines.
  • Sport climbing will make its senior debut with three homologated walls and more than 2,000 holds imported from France and installed at ISEF N°27 for competition scheduled September 22–25.
  • Ticketing is open on santafe2026.ar with free public entry while an optional prepaid seat guarantee costs ARS 10,000 and proceeds will be donated to Cáritas, the provincial volunteer firefighters federation and CILSA.
  • Organizers used the World Open Water Swimming event and recent deliveries of sport equipment as operational dress rehearsals to test timing systems, pontons, volunteer operations and venue setups ahead of the Games.
  • Thirty-four disciplines at the Suramericanos will award Pan American Games qualification slots for Lima 2027 and several sport-specific events will be held at subsedes in Paraná, Vicente López and Mar del Plata, creating lasting competition infrastructure for the region.
