Sanrio Debuts First Northern California Hello Kitty Cafe at Westfield Valley Fair

The opening caps years of nationwide pop-ups with a permanent 2,300-square-foot Hello Kitty experience in Santa Clara

Overview

  • The café’s grand opening weekend runs July 11-13 at Westfield Valley Fair, marking the brand’s debut north of Los Angeles.
  • The 2,300-square-foot venue offers indoor and patio seating, a grab-and-go front café and a themed Bow Room for afternoon tea and evening desserts.
  • Visitors can indulge in a rotating menu of Hello Kitty-shaped mini donuts, Dole Whip soft serve, espresso drinks and specialty afternoon tea service.
  • Each day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first 100 customers to make a purchase meet Hello Kitty in person and receive an exclusive keepsake.
  • Operated by the team behind the 2016 Irvine Grand Cafe, the new site joins existing locations in Southern California, Las Vegas and Vancouver as part of Sanrio’s expanding café network.
