Sanremo Giovani Announces 24 Artists After Rome Auditions

The televised contest will decide two of the four emerging acts headed to Sanremo 2026’s Nuove Proposte section.

Overview

  • Live auditions were held on October 28 in Sala A, Via Asiago in Rome, after which the Commissione Musicale selected the 24 contestants.
  • RAI will air four late-night rounds beginning Tuesday, November 11 on Rai2, Radio2 and RaiPlay from Sala A, hosted by Gianluca Gazzoli.
  • Six artists perform in each of the first four episodes, with three per show advancing to the December 9 semifinal and six moving on to the December 14 final at the Teatro del Casinò in Sanremo.
  • Only the top two finishers from the final will qualify for Sanremo Festival 2026 in Nuove Proposte, with two additional young artists to be chosen via Area Sanremo in early December by the same commission.
  • The selection panel is led by Carlo Conti with Claudio Fasulo, Ema Stokholma, Carolina Rey, Manola Moslehi, Enrico Cremonesi and Daniele Battaglia, and coverage notes 34 auditioned, 24 advanced, including entrants from Mali and Albania.
