Sanders has introduced the Foreign Assistance Act, which stipulates that American military assistance must be used in accordance with human rights standards and American law.
According to Oxfam International, the Israeli military is killing an average of 250 Palestinians per day, a daily death rate higher than any other 21st century conflict.
Sanders has expressed concern over the high civilian death toll, including over 12,000 children, and the displacement of 1.9 million people leading to imminent starvation.
