Overview
- The 73rd San Sebastián Film Festival runs September 19–27, opening with the world premiere of Daniel Hendler’s 27 noches in competition and closing out of competition with Kasia Adamik’s Winter of the Crow on September 27.
- Producer Esther García will receive a Donostia Award at the opening gala, and Jennifer Lawrence will be honored on September 26 with a dedicated ceremony.
- El Terrat writes and directs the galas, with Silvia Abril, Toni Acosta and Itziar Ituño hosting the September 19 opening and Itsaso Arana presenting the September 27 closing.
- Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 2 at 10:00 via the festival and Kutxabank sites, priced at €80/€95 for opening and closing galas, €50/€55 for the Donostia ceremony, and €15 for the Velódromo triple session.
- Galas take place at the Kursaal with live broadcasts on La 2, RTVE Play, ETB1/ETB4, eitb.eus and the festival website, while the Velódromo hosts a live closing retransmission with a 18:00 surprise film and additional screenings including the closing title.
