San Nicolás Church to Debut 'La Luz de San Nicolás' Immersive Light Show on July 1

Conceived as a permanent daily installation, the experience uses advanced videomapping technology to illuminate baroque frescoes, inviting wider visitor exploration.

Overview

  • More than 200 representatives from cultural, tourism and heritage sectors attended this week’s preview of the installation.
  • The permanent exhibit features a 15-minute videomapping projection across the church vault alongside two interactive zones called 'El latido de San Nicolás' and 'Lux ex oriente'.
  • Technical deployment includes 83 specialized devices, 14 synchronized projectors and the projection of over 447 billion light points.
