Overview

  • The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will convene a special 8 a.m. meeting on June 24 to decide whether to sustain John Keene’s removal recommendation.
  • Proceedings began after the board unanimously approved a Notice of Intent to Remove on June 5 under procedures enabled by Measure A.
  • An independent investigation by Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP compiled over 500 pages of evidence and 42 witness interviews alleging law violations, duty neglect and obstruction of internal probes.
