Overview

  • The three break-ins occurred within 24 hours between July 17 and 18 in Portola Valley’s Golden Oak Drive and Emerald Hills’s Scenic Drive and Woodland Way neighborhoods.
  • Surveillance video captured suspects forcing entry into an unoccupied Golden Oak Drive home on July 17, with investigators still determining the total loss.
  • On July 18 at around 10:30 p.m., intruders attempted to break into an occupied Scenic Drive residence but fled before deputies arrived and no items were taken.

  • Authorities remind residents to keep properties well-lit, use alarm systems, trim overgrown landscaping and avoid posting travel plans online, and to report any information to Det. Baggetta at [email protected] or via the 1-800-547-2700 tip line.
