San Leandro Apartment Fire Claims Life of 78-Year-Old Man, Displaces 12 Residents

- The victim, identified as Theodis Patterson, was unable to escape the flames.
- Two other residents and their family dog were inside the apartment; the residents escaped, but the dog perished.
- Four apartments were damaged in total, leading to the displacement of 12 residents.
- The Red Cross is currently assisting the displaced residents, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
