Overview

• The Sept. 18 attack occurred around 11:16 a.m. at Las Plumas Avenue and Marburg Way near U.S. 101 west of King Road.
• Police say four men exited a car, one displayed a gun, assaulted the victim, and took his keys before fleeing in the stolen car and their own.
• Analysts at SJPD’s Real Time Intelligence Center used public and private cameras plus automated license plate readers to identify and track both vehicles.
• Patrol officers executed enforcement stops in San Jose, leading to the capture of Hugo Velazquez-Pena, 32; Omar Macedo-Topete, 20; Jonathan De La Cruz, 33; and Victor De La Cruz, 37.
• The suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on allegations that include carjacking and assault.
