• Fire broke out just before 3:40 a.m. Sunday at a home on Glengarry Drive near Yerba Buena Road.
• San Jose Fire Department photos showed the garage gutted with charred debris and exterior damage elsewhere.
• Seven residents were displaced, and no injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters.
• A dog was rescued from the home and transferred to animal control for care.
• About 11 hours after the initial knockdown, crews returned to extinguish a rekindle at the property.
