Overview
- The 55th San Francisco Pride Celebration runs Saturday, June 28, through Sunday, June 29, with the main parade launching at 10:30 a.m. June 29 from Embarcadero Plaza to Civic Center.
- This year’s theme, “Queer Joy Is Resistance,” will frame the procession of over 250 contingent groups along Market Street over a four-hour route.
- City officials have imposed prolonged closures on key thoroughfares—including Market, Polk, Larkin and Hyde streets—and are rerouting Muni lines to ease crowd movement.
- Civic Center Plaza will host a two-day festival featuring performances by Michaela Jaé and Saucy Santana along with community stages from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
- A slate of pre-parade events—such as Pride Comedy Night, SF Pride Block Party, the Trans March, Illuminate’s rainbow laser installation and cycling rides—will activate venues from Dolores Park to Golden Gate Park.
