San Francisco Police Shoot Armed Suspect at Powell Street Station

The incident began when officers spotted the suspect with a gun near Fifth and Market streets and pursued him into a liquor store.
Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot followed by a barrage of gunfire as the suspect moved toward the Powell Street station.
The suspect, who was conscious and speaking to medics after being shot, was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
The Powell Street station was temporarily closed, with BART and Muni Metro trains bypassing the station due to police activity.
