The arrests were conducted at a retail store on Mission Street, which has reported a high number of thefts.
Among the arrested individuals, two had outstanding arrest warrants, and most are San Francisco residents.
A 14-year-old girl was also arrested, accused of stealing more than $30,000 in goods from local stores as part of a retail crime ring of adults and minors.
San Francisco's shoplifting incidents in the first half of 2023 are down 35% compared with the first half of 2022, marking the largest percentage drop among 24 major U.S. cities.
