San Diego Police Seek Public’s Help to ID Suspect in Pacific Beach Rideshare Assault

Officials have released suspect details, highlighted past mistaken rideshare incidents near San Diego State University, noting that any link remains unconfirmed.

  • At approximately 1:10 a.m. on March 15, a woman entered what she believed was her rideshare vehicle in the 700 block of Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach and was taken a few miles away before the driver allegedly sexually assaulted her.
  • Authorities described the suspect as a mixed-race man in his 30s with brown eyes, shoulder-length curly hair, a mustache, beard and an average-to-muscular build.
  • Police believe the suspect may have been driving a four-door Toyota Prius from the 2022 to 2025 model years or a similar vehicle.
