Overview
- Phase one is slated to open around Sept. 22–23 with 19 gates, with the full 30-gate buildout coming online in stages through 2028.
- The airport will host a self-guided open house on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon, with validated parking available in the T1 Parking Plaza.
- An 8,000-point test of the new baggage system recorded over 99% accuracy, and the system is rated to handle roughly 2,000 bags per hour at peak.
- Initial carriers at opening include Breeze, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit and SunCountry, with Air Canada and WestJet moving in by spring 2026 and Delta planned for early 2028.
- After the new concourse opens, asbestos abatement and demolition of the 1967 terminal will begin, as the $3.8 billion project—funded by a 10-year airline agreement and $75 million in federal grants—continues alongside new road and parking upgrades.
